VOC, which stands for Volatile Organic Compounds, are gasses that are emitted from certain products that contain a variety of chemicals and result in short and long term negative health effects depending on the exposure. Exposure is usually the greatest in closed off environments, as the gasses become more trapped and tend to evaporate slower.Some of the products that are known for concentrations of VOC's include: paints, lacquers, cleaning supplies, glues, building materials, and craft materials.
